As the year 2020 came to a close, fitness and weight loss apps continued to play a pivotal role in helping individuals across Europe maintain their health and wellness goals. Sensor Tower's data provides a comprehensive look at the performance of the top five applications in this category during the fourth quarter of 2020.
Zepp Life (Formerly MiFit), despite generating no revenue, saw a notable download spike in December, reaching approximately 676K, up from around 342K in the first week of December. The app's weekly active users also peaked at 12.7M by the end of December.
Home Workout - No Equipments experienced a steady increase in revenue, peaking at nearly $16K in the week of November 23. Downloads for the app surged to around 248K in the last week of December, and active users increased to 1.46M, indicating a strong finish to the quarter.
The app Lose Weight for Women at Home also showed upward trends, with revenue climbing to over $2.6K in late November and downloads jumping to approximately 222K by the end of December. Weekly active users reached just over 1.1M in the final week of the year.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike stood out with its impressive revenue, topping at nearly $500K in the last week of December. The app also saw its highest downloads for the quarter at 252K during the same period, with active users peaking at 4.24M.
Finally, YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet posted a significant revenue increase to $652K in the last week of December. Downloads more than quadrupled from the beginning of the quarter, with a peak at 455K, and active users surged to over 3.1M.
